About Gideon
Gideon was identified by Francis Lubega Children’s Foundation during a visit to Nanziga Primary School in Mawugulu Village in 2025. After learning about his family circumstances and educational needs, the foundation pledged to support his transition into secondary education.
Gideon lost his father at a young age and was later abandoned by his mother. He is currently cared for by his aunt, who supports the household through casual labour but faces difficulty meeting the family’s education and other essential expenses. Beginning in 2026, FLCF enrolled Gideon at Nanziga Parents Secondary School and began supporting his secondary education.
Gideon is currently performing well academically and continues to show commitment to his studies. He also experiences a recurring health challenge that requires medical attention and continued monitoring. Through education support, school follow-up and attention to his wellbeing, the foundation aims to give Gideon a stable opportunity to remain in school and work towards his future.
