Francis Lubega Children’s Foundation engaged schools and local leadership in Mawugulu to strengthen cooperation around education, safe water, girls’ hygiene and child welfare. The activity secured institutional and community support for future interventions and resource mobilisation.
Location: Nanziga Public Primary School yrs

The engagement also provided an opportunity to observe existing school facilities and water-related infrastructure and to strengthen working relationships with the institutions that serve children in the area. The cooperation letters provide formal evidence that the schools are willing to work with FLCF on future programmes and can support proposals, fundraising and partnership discussions. FLCF also secured official support from the Chairperson of Mawugulu Village, strengthening the involvement of local leadership in future WASH and community development activities. Bringing schools and village leadership into the process helps ensure that proposed interventions respond to locally identified needs and are supported by the institutions and communities expected to benefit.

On 16 September 2026, Francis Lubega Children’s Foundation conducted a partnership and community engagement exercise involving Nanziga Public Primary School, Nanziga Parents Secondary School and Mawugulu Junior School. The foundation collected cooperation letters from the three schools to support planned interventions in education, water and sanitation, girls’ hygiene and wider child welfare.

Impact Notes

The activity established formal cooperation with three education institutions and strengthened engagement with Mawugulu Village leadership. These partnerships create a stronger foundation for future education, WASH, girls’ hygiene and child welfare programmes, while providing supporting documentation for fundraising and partnership applications.
