Herbert continues to receive medical and nutritional follow-up at Mulago Hospital, with support from Francis Lubega Children’s Foundation. Recent reviews have focused on monitoring his growth, appetite and general health, while his caregiver continues to receive guidance on nutrition, hygiene and follow-up care.
Location: Pediatric Nutrition Clinic, Mulago Hospital yrs

Herbert returned for another follow-up on 12 August 2026, where he showed encouraging signs of progress. He maintained a good appetite and was observed to be lively and active. The medical team advised his caregiver to continue providing RUTF (Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food) and to maintain good hygiene practices as part of his continued nutritional recovery and general care. Francis Lubega Children’s Foundation continues to follow Herbert’s progress closely and support his access to appropriate nutrition and healthcare. His next medical follow-up is scheduled for 19 August 2026, when his nutritional status, weight and overall health will be reviewed again.

On 5 August 2026, Francis Lubega Children’s Foundation accompanied Herbert to the Pediatric Nutrition Clinic at Mulago Hospital for continued medical and nutritional follow-up. During the review, his weight was recorded as having decreased slightly from 4.6 kg to 4.5 kg, while his height increased from 62.2 cm to 63.4 cm. Herbert had developed a cough but continued to have a good appetite. His caregiver was advised to continue providing six high-energy, high-protein meals each day, and he was referred for further pediatric assessment of the cough.

Impact Notes

The follow-up visits ensured continued medical supervision and enabled changes in Herbert’s growth and health to be identified early. His good appetite and active condition at the 12 August review were encouraging signs, while continued nutritional support and regular monitoring remain important to his recovery.
