About The foundation continued engaging with Herbert’s grandmother and hospital caregivers to understand his progress and determine whether any further assistance would be required during his treatment and recovery.
On 24 July 2024, staff from Francis Lubega Children Foundation conducted another follow-up visit to Herbert while he was receiving care at the hospital. The visit was intended to check on his condition, provide encouragement to the family and assess any immediate needs arising during his admission.
During the visit, the foundation provided Herbert with essential medical and personal-care necessities required during his hospital stay. His grandmother also received pocket money to assist with meals, transport and other small expenses while remaining at the hospital to care for him.
Impact Notes
The support reduced some of the immediate financial pressure on Herbert’s grandmother and helped ensure that Herbert had access to basic necessities while undergoing treatment. The visit also reassured the family that they were not facing the situation alone.
