About Hellen Nakiboneka
A few weeks after giving birth, Hellen Nakiboneka, a single mother, began experiencing severe pain and growing concern about her health. Without the financial resources to seek specialised medical care, she faced a difficult situation while caring for her young daughter. Delaying treatment could have worsened her condition and reduced her ability to provide the care her child needed.
Francis Lubega Children Foundation responded by providing complete medical assistance. Transport was arranged from Hellen’s residence to Mengo Hospital, where she underwent professional medical assessment, laboratory tests and treatment. The foundation purchased her prescribed medicines and arranged her return transport after the hospital visit.
Following treatment, Hellen was able to return home and begin her recovery. Her medical support also contributes to a safer and healthier future for Tendo, her daughter and one of the children supported by the foundation.
“I am deeply grateful to Francis Lubega Children Foundation. When I was in pain and did not know where to turn, they stood by me. They helped me access treatment and gave me hope that I am not alone,” said Hellen.
Every contribution helps the foundation ensure that vulnerable children and their families receive timely healthcare and essential support when they need it most.

Francis Lubega Children Foundation arranged transport from her residence to Mengo Hospital, where she received a medical assessment from healthcare professionals. The foundation also covered prescribed medication, laboratory appointments, required medical tests and transport back to her residence.
Following the examination and treatment, Hellen returned home and began her recovery. A follow-up review appointment was scheduled for 8 July 2026. Supporting Hellen’s health also helps protect the wellbeing and future of her daughter, Tendo.
